If God is the source of your existence, He is also the source of your strength. Life will present many challenges, temptations and unhealthy desires and it will also present many opportunities for joy, comfort and healthy desires. To anchor your wellness in your faith, is to recognize that God wants us to experience the latter while knowing that the former are opportunities for learning and growth. To focus the lens of your wellness in faith is to walk through challenges and struggles with the compassion and grace He already provides. Our mental health is tied to our faith because when we pay attention to our mental health, we honour God’s gifts and purpose in us. That purpose is to experience love and joy in us, so it shines outside us for others to experience also. It starts with your relationship with Him. It starts with leaning on His strengths to find yours.
I offer mental health support and guidance through the lens of faith, by understanding how scripture speaks to the importance of developing and strengthening the very gifts and purpose that our Creator has given us. With that strength, we can rediscover the joy He meant for us to experience in life.
